課程概述 |
Minimal submanifold theory is an important and fundamental topic with many applications to other areas. The course aims to introduce this interesting topic to students and serve as a continuing course after Geometry II or Differential Geometry.
In the course, we plan to start with some classical results on Minimal Submanifolds that include Plateau Problem, Weierstrass presentation of minimal surfaces, complete minimal surfaces, Dirichlet problems for minimal surface system, Bernstein theorem, etc. Then we would like to discuss some papers and hope to link to some recent research. The detailed content of the course will depend on the background of the students.
